Donald Trump has banned citizens of 12 countries from entering the US in a sharp expansion of his anti-immigrant policies.
Effective 9 June 2025, citizens from these 12 countries- Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Congo-Brazzaville, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen will not be permitted entry to the US.
A partial ban will also apply to those from seven other countries: Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela.
