    About MTN Ghana Foundation Scholarship

    For nearly two decades, the MTN Foundation Scholarship has provided financial support to thousands of deserving students across Africa, helping them achieve their educational aspirations. In Ghana, the MTN Ghana Foundation continues this commitment by offering scholarships to talented and hardworking young people, enabling them to pursue a wide range of academic programmes at various levels of education across the country. Through this initiative, the Foundation is investing in the development of future leaders and contributing to Ghana’s human capital growth.

    MTN Ghana Foundation Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

    Applicants must:

    • Be a first-year or continuing student pursuing a first degree at a public tertiary institution in Ghana, or be enrolled in a recognised vocational or technical skills training programme.
    • Be a Ghanaian citizen who is brilliant but financially disadvantaged.
    • Demonstrate good character, diligence, and strong academic performance. For continuing students, active participation in extracurricular activities will be an added advantage.
    • Have no record of academic misconduct, disciplinary sanctions, or any bond relating to good behaviour.

    Application Process

    Interested applicants should:

    1. Complete and submit an online application through the MTN Scholarship Portal at scholarship.mtn.com.gh.
    2. Attach a one-page motivational letter outlining their educational aspirations, career goals, and reasons for applying.
    3. Provide accurate and valid contact information, including a phone number and email address.
    4. Await notification if shortlisted. Successful applicants will be invited to appear before the scholarship selection panel for further assessment.

    Please Note:

    • Applying is completely FREE!
    • An applicant who enjoys any other form of educational scholarship should not apply.
    • Priority would be given to persons pursuing courses in ICT, Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial intelligence and data analytics.
    • Women and Persons with disability are especially encouraged to apply.
