The Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) has elected Valerie Elikem Kportufe as its Student Representative Council (SRC) President, making her the first female to hold the position in the institution’s history.

Darko.
A law student at GIMPA, Valerie is a product of Achimota Senior High School and previously studied Political Science at the University of Ghana, Legon, where she built a strong foundation in leadership and advocacy.
In 2018, she was crowned First Queen of the Tertiary Most Beautiful Pageant, earning recognition for her confidence and leadership presence.
She will be serving alongside Vice President-elect Oswald Nii Aba as they lead the GIMPA student body for the 2026/2027 academic year.
