The Ghana Police Service has cautioned students who have completed the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) to refrain from engaging in any unlawful acts during their celebrations.

In a statement issued on June 18, 2026, the Police stressed that they will not hesitate to arrest and prosecute any student found participating in criminal activities after the examination period. The warning comes as candidates across the country mark the end of this year’s examination.

The Service urged students to celebrate responsibly and avoid acts such as vandalism, disorderly conduct, assault, road obstruction, and the destruction of public or private property. Police officers have also been directed to monitor post-examination activities and enforce the law where necessary.

Authorities encouraged parents, school authorities, and community leaders to support efforts aimed at ensuring a peaceful and incident-free end to the WASSCE season.
