Ghanaian actor and film director, Van Vicker, has added another academic achievement to his name after graduating with a First-Class Honours Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Wisconsin International University College Ghana.
The award-winning actor celebrated the milestone following the university’s 2026 congregation ceremony, held on Friday, June 19, at the CEM Auditorium in North Legon. He later shared photos from the graduation ceremony on social media, capturing moments with colleagues and fellow graduates.
Reflecting on his achievement, Van Vicker noted that earning a First-Class Honours degree demonstrates academic excellence but does not automatically make one a successful legal practitioner.
“A First Class Honours in LLB doesn’t automatically make me a better lawyer but what it does mean is: Academic Excellence, Strong Discipline & Work Ethic, Analytical & Critical Thinking Skills, Prestige & Recognition, Opportunities,” he wrote.
He stressed that success in the legal profession extends beyond academic performance and requires advocacy skills, emotional intelligence, practical legal experience, character, integrity and a commitment to lifelong learning.
According to him, while a First-Class Honours degree provides a strong academic foundation and reflects mastery of legal studies, becoming an outstanding lawyer demands continuous practice, mentorship and personal development.
The latest accomplishment further strengthens Van Vicker’s impressive academic credentials. In 2021, he graduated with First-Class Honours in Strategic Communication from the African University of Communication and Business. During that graduation ceremony, he received awards for Best Strategic Communication Student and Best Communication Student in recognition of his exceptional academic performance.
A year later, he earned a Master’s degree from the same institution, continuing his educational journey alongside a successful career in the film industry.
His latest achievement has attracted praise from fans, colleagues and well-wishers, many of whom have commended him for successfully balancing academic excellence with a thriving career in entertainment.
