East Airport International School goalkeeper, Adomhene Asamani, has been named Best Goalkeeper of the maiden edition of Copa Coca-Cola Ghana 2026 following an impressive performance throughout the tournament.
Adomhene played a key role in East Airport International School’s successful campaign as the school emerged champions of the first-ever Copa Coca-Cola tournament held in Ghana. The competition featured eight schools and showcased some of the country’s brightest young football talents.
The shot-stopper stood out with his consistency, composure and crucial saves during the tournament. In a competition that recorded over 100 goals, Adomhene conceded the least number of goals, allowing only 18 throughout the tournament to secure the Best Goalkeeper award.
His performances proved instrumental in East Airport International School’s journey to lifting the trophy, as the team combined a strong attack with a disciplined defensive setup.
The maiden edition of Copa Coca-Cola Ghana was organised by Equatorial Coca-Cola Bottling Company (ECCBC) to promote youth football and create opportunities for young athletes to showcase their talents on a competitive stage.
With the successful conclusion of the first edition, organisers are expected to expand the competition in future years as interest in the tournament continues to grow among schools and football fans.
